KW 0083 Belfast Chamberlain
This kit is of Belfast Chamberlain cars 342 to 391. The first forty of these cars were built by Brush in Loughborough, the last 10 by Service Motor Works Ltd of Belfast. They entered service in 1930. They were fitted with Maley & Taunton 8ft swing link trucks and had brown leather upholstered sprung seats throughout. As built, they had transverse double seating on both decks but in later years the lower saloon seating was altered to longitudinal on one side and single transverse seats on the other.
They were the first cars to be delivered in the new blue and cream livery.
They lasted until the end of tramway operation. Car 357 is preserved at the Ulster Folk Museum.
The kit includes the etched brass seats for the upper deck.
Truck - ME32D09 or equivalent.
