This kit is of the Glasgow Phase IV Standard cars. They were enclosed double deck cars with 180 degree stairs and 17’ long saloons.
There were a number of subclasses within Phase IV.
This kit is designed to make the Phase IV cars, numbers 316-287 which were all high speed cars with 8’0” trucks. For other Phase IV cars, see kits KW 040a and kit KW 040b.

In the downloads section of this site is a list of which cars were which route colour by phase.
Transfers - there are several sets available, a general set for all cars and an additional specific set for each of the route colours, see KW 039 xxx tr in the OO gauge transfers section. In addition there is a set of specific destination transfers for the phase IV cars, see KW 041 xxx tr in the OO gauge transfers section. There is also a specific set for the later, standardised (bus green) livery, see KW 041 standard tr in the OO gauge transfers section.
