This kit is of the Southport Tramways Company enclosed cars.
These trams were originally built as open top cars by Brush in 1901. They were designed by John Raworth, the director of Brush and chairman of the Southport Company. They became cars numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 35-44, when taken over by Corporation in 1918.
They were rebuilt between 1919 & 1921 with fully enclosed top decks, full driver vestibules and 7ft trucks. The kit makes a car in the rebuilt state.
