This kit is of the standard 6 upper / 6 lower window balcony top tramcars. The strengthening of the three window saloon open-top cars by the addition of further window pillars was followed within a decade by the placing of matching top covers on the Gateshead and Walthamstow cars. Some Walthamstow cars, such as No. 54, received six window top covers on their original three window lower saloons before these received the additional window pillars.
